The construction of the first bicycle bridge was part of this undertaking. This new bridge, 169 meters long and 5 meters wide, is an asset for the passenger traffic between Leuven and Brussels. Until now, cyclists had to make a detour of almost 4km over another bridge.
The scope of ConstruGomes’ work consisted in the execution of foundations, pillars, abutments, and walls using different constructive systems.
In addition to these elements, ConstruGomes was responsible for the execution of an access tunnel to the train station and the installation of several prefabricated elements.
