At the heart of the Greater Bilbao metropolitan area stands the Trapagaran Viaduct, one of the widest viaducts in Europe, measuring 35.6 metres in width. Its distinctive S-shaped alignment was carefully designed to minimise its visual impact on the surrounding landscape.

ConstruGomes played a important role in the construction of this infrastructure, being responsible for the execution of the piers, reaching a maximum height of 37 metres, and for the construction of the bridge deck using three pairs of form travellers. This engineering structure accommodates heavy daily traffic from both freight and passenger vehicles, ensuring safer and more efficient circulation.
