In Zamora, Spain, an engineering structure rises above the Arroyo Valderrey, demonstrating engineering’s ability to overcome the challenges imposed by the terrain. The Viaducto del Arroyo Valderrey was designed to ensure the continuity of the road infrastructure across an area of uneven terrain, providing a safe and efficient connection while respecting its surroundings.
  • Year of execution: 2008
  • Location: Zamora, Spain
  • Technical Solutions: Shoring System
  • Total extension: 275,00 m x2

Its construction required a highly complex technical operation, reflected in the execution of the reinforced concrete piers, the assembly of the formwork and reinforcement, and the extensive shoring system used to support the deck throughout the different stages of construction. Cranes, temporary structures and specialised teams worked in coordination until the various elements became one continuous infrastructure.
