I am very pleased to share with you the results of the 2022 financial year in our management report.
It was a challenging year, marked by various adversities and changes in the economic scenario, but thanks to everyone's hard work and commitment, it was a year of great achievements and accomplishments for ConstruGomes, and I would like to express my gratitude and recognition to everyone who contributed to this success.
Last year, ConstruGomes demonstrated its resilience and ability to adapt to the challenges we faced. We managed to overcome the restrictions imposed by the global pandemic in previous financial years, implementing strict safety measures in our establishments, in each specific project and in our offices.
In addition, we have restructured some of our internal processes and adopted innovative technological solutions, strengthening our operational efficiency and our competitiveness in the market.
As mentioned in previous years, when the strategic objectives for the four-year period were set in 2019, they were based on four fundamental pillars: business growth; business sustainability; specialisation; and internationalisation. Today, as I write this message, we can say that, despite all the difficulties we had to overcome along the way, each of the strategic objectives was achieved with flying colours.
In 2022, turnover totalled €25,604,249.22, a significant increase on the €22,630,410.09 achieved the previous year. This 13 per cent growth reflects our strategy of market expansion, winning new contracts and strengthening our position in the construction sector.
Another important highlight is the net profit, which totalled €1,502,117.53 and more than doubled the previous year's figure. This positive result is based on the commitment and dedication of the entire team, efficient cost control and responsible financial management. It's very gratifying to see that all the hard work is producing tangible results and driving the company's growth.
These figures reflect ConstruGomes' commitment to pursuing excellence in all areas of its operations. We invest in cutting-edge technology, in training and developing our team and in more efficient processes to develop high-quality projects within the established deadlines.
Investing in people training is fundamental to promoting development and sustainable long-term growth. This investment in the training and development of our staff, in improving existing skills, in investing in specialised knowledge and in strengthening the organisational culture will continue to be an integral part of ConstruGomes' development and consolidation strategy.
The year 2022 was also marked by investment in two new buildings in Perelhal. One will be dedicated to the new head office and another to be the company's logistics centre, including the entire industrial process of maintaining and adapting ConstruGomes' various pieces of production equipment. This investment is aimed at providing a more modern and functional working environment, enabling the company to meet market needs more effectively.
The combination of internal training of the company's resources and investment in infrastructure and production equipment will strengthen ConstruGomes' competitiveness and sustainability.

I would also like to thank our partners, who trust in our work, our vision and support us on our path to growth and consolidation.
The year 2023 brings with it new challenges and opportunities. We are fully focused on maintaining our sustainable growth, striving for innovation, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. We will continue to invest in our human capital, in strengthening strategic partnerships and expanding our business.
I have every confidence that, together, we will overcome the challenges that arise and take ConstruGomes to new heights of success.
