I am delighted to bring to your attention the management report and financial statements of 2017.
Throughout the year of 2017 we followed the strategy defined by the management for the three-year period of 2016 – 2018.
And, if in 2016 we stated that we had almost reached every strategical goals for the period of 2016-2018, in the year of 2017 we defined that it was crucial to consolidate the goals already achieved and to focus on reaching the remaining goals.
I can assure you, that the year of 2017 was marked by the effort and commitment that allowed us to strengthen the company, whether by the business volume, by the areas of activity and by the internal capability of the company.
These three pillars, are precisely the basis upon which, not only did we consolidated the company, but we also prepared it for the upcoming challenges.
When we speak about effort, in a first instance, we have to highlight the exceptional way of how our employees have been working hard to achieve the challenges that we set for them. They are the ones primarily responsible for everything good that has been happening to ConstruGomes. However, we also have to thank our business partners.
We offer a special word of gratitude towards the clients, the suppliers and the funding entities.
Only the good relationship between the parties, the mutual understanding, and the timely response to the partner’s needs, allowed us to achieve the goals. ConstruGomes is absolutely certain in the relationship that we have established with our partners and that they are extremely happy on how we’ve performed.
From all the effort that ConstruGomes has made, ConstruGomes was once again recognised with the PME Excellence Certificate. Furthermore, based on the year of 2017, this award was complemented with the Merit Award in Exportation. Since Portugal is a country of small medium enterprises, being recognized as one of the best exporters in the country, especially since we work in the construction market, it’s for us, a reason for great pride. Such fact, motivate us even more and it should also motivate our shareholders, employees and business partners.
Let me conclude by saying thank you very much to everyone that somehow has contributed to reaching the results of 2017. These results are yours as well.
