The project aims to provide an alternative route to the EN211, in order to prevent through traffic from circulating within urban areas, by creating a bypass with characteristics of a national road designed for a base speed of 60 km/h.
The bypass to be constructed has a total length of 2,522.32 metres of new alignment and connects to the EN321-1 to the north through an existing junction, and to the south through the construction of a new roundabout in the Mesquinhata area. At this roundabout, the northern and southern branches of the former EN211 connect towards Paredes de Viadores and Santa Leocádia, respectively.
A third connection is also planned, where the new bypass will connect to the EN583. This connection consists of three accesses: one bidirectional access (Access 1) and two unidirectional accesses (Access 2 and Access 3), together with their respective connection lanes to the bypass.
The bypass also includes the construction of three viaducts.
ConstruGomes’ works include the execution of foundations and abutments, the erection of piers using climbing formwork, the construction of retaining walls and bridge decks, as well as reinforced concrete works, and the supply and assembly of formwork.
Ground-supported falsework and portal falsework, using H-33 trusses, T-500 towers, and HEB beams
