Zeebrugge LNG Terminal

The port of Zeebrugge is connected to Norwegian gas fields via the Gassco Zeepipe gas pipeline and to the United Kingdom via the interconnector. LNG is supplied mainly from Qatar, via the sea route, before being processed and supplied to the Belgian or EU consumer markets.

This project consisted on the execution of a semi-underground storage tank for Liquid Natural Gas with 180,000m3 capacity. This tank is located at the Zeebrugge Port terminal.

The works awarded to ConstruGomes consisted in the execution of the 5th tank using a climbing formwork system. The diameter of the tank is approximately 100 meters.
