Description
NeckartalBrücke is part of one of the most important communication routes between Western and Eastern Europe - the A6.
After the Cold War, it became the most important communication channel for the trade of goods between Paris and Prague, and it remains until today.
The main particularity and the most remarkable aspect of this project is the construction of one of the decks in a provisional lateral position built upon temporary pillars. Afterward, the deck will be transferred transversely 21 meters to its final position.
This engineering solution allowed to never interrupt the road traffic, either commercial, regional, national, and international, also it mitigates any constraints on the traffic created by the construction of this new special artwork that is inserted in such an important communication channel as this one.
ConstruGomes is responsible for the execution, operation, and installation of the formwork, ConstruGomes is also responsible for the concrete pour and the finishing works. The several elements that are part of this pivotal project are 44 foundations, 88 piers, 66 provisional piers, 44 crossbeams, and two prestressed double-ribbed decks.
