Description

The bridge’s deck, executed by applying the incremental launching method, is a constructed piece of 1175 meters length and has a total weight of 65,000 tons. The deck’s entire construction was performed outside of the bridge so that after it could be pushed over the pylons until its final location. In addition, the construction of the ogival arch over the Deza River, was executed with two semi-arches of 110 meters, firstly built in the vertical position and then after gradually inclined until the two elements merge together. The construction of this viaduct enabed the passage over the Deza River Valley, in Silleda by the high speed railway.
