The Basagoiti Viaducts are situated over the village of Aretxabaleta on the stretch between Arrasate and Eskoriatza of the new Deba Motorway linking Vitoria-Gasteiz with Eibar. When designing this viaduct, it was designed to include inclined pylons, not only to decrease the number required but also to mitigate the environmental impact. An interesting fact about this viaduct is that it is actually a double viaduct in order to join two separate tunnels.
Viaducto de Basagoiti is an essential viaduct in the Mondragon valley crossing, it is at the heart of a large industrial production group and also distribution companies operating in Northern Spain.
